Durbanville Hills

One of our wines for this year is the well known Durbanville Hills, located in the Durbanville area. Though wine was produced in the area since the end of the 17th century, Durbanville Hills wines was only established in the late 1990’s. Originally a rest camp in the Pampoenkraal area, the farm Roosboom made an impression on Governor Simon Van Der Stel in 1685 and soon a village was established which, by 1886, was renamed as Durbanville. Surplus wine produced by local farmers resulted in the first sales of wines by 1702. This year you can find Durbanville Hills Wine at The Hound Country Pub and Bistro. 07 and 08 September 2019
